The place for such a practice is to be neat & clean and without any distractions.

Pranayama should not be practised at a crowded place where pure air is not available. It may be done on a river bank.

The best time for Pranayama is early morning when the air is pure and oxygen is available. If not possible it may be done in the evening after sunset.

Tight dress should not be used, but loose comfortable clothes.

One should not smoke at least 1 hr. before or after practice.

Pranayama should be done under the guidance of an expert.
